I open the store in prayer, manage and encourage volunteers, answer the back door, unload cars, and sort donations, share God’s love with customers, move furniture, try to meaningfully connect with anyone and everyone who walks into our store, clean bathrooms, vet and schedule donation pickups, empty trash, process daily monies, vacuum, pray with volunteers and customers as needed, answer the phone, work as a cashier, lead a book club, price furniture, linens, clothing and home goods, and thank God every single day for leading me to Thrift.

Seattle Seahawks and any team on which my children are playing

It would have to be one on HGTV that involves looking at beach houses, mountain houses, island houses, etc. I love the process of viewing a house and trying to visualize my family living and making memories there. My first thought is always, “Where would we place the Christmas tree?”

I have always been envious of people who have artistic talent. I think it would be so cool to be able to express myself through painting.

Ramona Quimby- As a young reader I was obsessed with her.
Ma Ingalls- She was the model of patience, courage, tenderness, faith, and compassion. I remember thinking I wanted to “mother” as she did.
